Now more than ever, pets are part of our families.
We go on walks together, we play together, we take selfies together, we call them our "fur babies," and we even share our beds with them. So when it comes time to plan a getaway, you want to be sure you're not going to have to leave your little fuzzy, four-pawed, tail-wagging family member behind.
If you're planning a trip and wondering if Spartanburg is a pet-friendly option, we totally are. We even asked our followers on social media for their favorite restaurants, shops, hotels, parks, events, etc. to enjoy with their pets so you'd know all the must-visit spots, and here's what they said:
Favorite Pet-Friendly Restaurants In Spartanburg, SC
Bella Latte
Enjoy a little pick-me-up with your pup at Bella Latte! Grab your favorite authentic Italian espresso drink, iced coffee, or pour-over and a little treat to satisfy your sweet tooth, then hang out and unwind with your BFF (best furry friend) for a while. With three locations in the area, there's always Bella Latte nearby. (Suggested by Instagram user @akmccrack17)

FR8yard
Between their selection of hot dogs and their dog-friendly atmosphere, FR8yard is one of the best doggone places to visit with your four legged friend. Watch the big game with a Carolina Style Yard Dog in one hand, an ice-cold brew in the other, and Fido by your side at this pet-friendly outdoor biergarten and social hub. Little River Coffee Bar
Caffeinate with your canine at the Little River Coffee Bar. Their fresh, farm-to-table coffees are roasted to perfection, and we hear their "Puppaccinos" are to-die-for. The Little River Roasting Co. even has their own hashtag for all the furbabies that come by; check out #PupsOfLittleRiver! (Suggested by Instagram user @lrrcoffeebar)
Pi-Squared
Life does not get much better than pizza and puppies. Enjoy your favorite pie with your favorite pup at Pi-Squared, an authentic, Detroit-style pizza shop serving up both round and square pizzas as well as wings, salads, calzones, and subs. At the end of your meal even treat your little tail-wagger to a sample of their creamy frozen custard! (Suggested by Instagram user @akmccrack17)
Rockers Brewing Company
When a place has a couple dogs "on staff," you already know they'll welcome your furry friend with open arms, too.
Rockers offers tours, tastings, and a daily "Hoppy Hour" Tuesday-Saturday. Rockers welcomes dogs, leashes required, anytime the brewery is open and there’s plenty of space for both of you to fit and fans to help you both cool off. While there, sample RJ Rockers’ signature Son of a Peach, a wheat beer with spices and South Carolina peach flavor, or their award-winning Palmetto Trail Pale Ale, which benefits maintenance along the beer’s namesake trail. Pets Favorite Vet & Play Place
At the head of the Mary Black Rail Trail, Pet's Favorite Vet & Play Place offers a dog park open seven days a week, and DIY dog-washing hours throughout the week.
The Rail Tail Dog Park
Perhaps Spartanburg’s most dog-friendly spot was, well, made just for dogs: The Rail Tail Dog Park. The park sits along the ever-popular Mary Black Rail Trail (which itself is a great spot to walk your dog) just across from the entrance to Duncan Park. The Dog Park offers shaded areas and outdoor chairs, along with obstacles and open space to work through the energy your dog might have.
